Two day workshop from 10am until 4pm
This workshop is about up cycling your existing Christmas wardrobe, the loved items that deserve an up grade to a longer life! The workshop is suitable for those who have a little sewing and stitching knowledge and would like to design and embellish their Evening – Party dresses, blazers, skirts, shirts or trousers (or any other garments).
We will provide everything you need, threads, beads, fabric, stencils, fabric paints, lace etc and you bring a couple of garments to work on! Please note you will only be working on one piece the whole weekend but it is good to bring along a few pieces so you have a choice!
You need to be able to do a little bit of sewing or embroidery but do not need to be an expert, we can adapt your design according to your experience and ability to stitch. For example someone who has never up cycled could stitch a panel or cuffs & collars.
You will be Learning to plan and design your project from start to finish!
You will Learning new stitches & how to apply beads to embellish your garment
We can teach you about under painting, layering with fabric, Sashiko or Boro stitching, working with different media.
The cost of the Weekend is £260.00 this includes some materials & all refreshments, Coffee/Tea/Soft drinks, cake & biscuits, including a beautiful vegetarian lunch and desert on both days!
If you want to bedeck your garment in Pearls or Crystals feel free but there will be a (at cost) surcharge for those who need to use a large amount for their design.
