We are delighted that Clare Hedges will continue to be teaching a variety of Passementerie skills at The Little School from January 2026.
Join one of the last few UK Passementerie makers, to learn a variety of traditional hand making techniques.
Clare has been teaching Passementerie for many years and has worked with the National Trust, The V & A , Phillips Auction House and has made Passementerie for a very impressive list of Stately Homes.
Passementerie is a traditional technique yet always pushing the boundaries of contemporary design, it is also on the red list of endangered heritage skills.
Clare will teach you how to apply Passementerie to Interior Design and to Couture Fashion!
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
During the workshop, we will focus on learning the various traditional hand techniques, which may include cord spinning, tassel making, ruff and collar making, rosette making, making netting and covering moulds this all depends on the day, Clare will be teaching one Saturday a Month and we will let you know what we will be covering.
