If the Easter holidays have you fretting about how to keep crafty kids entertained without turning your house into a glitter-and-glue crime scene, this is your friendly heads-up. Tucked away in the pretty North Norfolk village of North Creake, The Little School of Needlecraft runs creative sewing classes for children aged eight and up.
For the holidays, Jolanda offers bespoke group sessions – perfect if you have a gang of friends, cousins, or classmates keen to get creative together. Gather a minimum of six kids, and they’ll enjoy a three-hour needlecraft session, picking up sewing skills and making their own projects along the way.
And we’re not talking your basic “pin a ribbon on a scrap of felt” kind of crafting. Jolanda’s treasure trove of materials – beautiful fabrics, colourful felt, beads, and embroidery threads – gives little makers the freedom to experiment with design, embellishment, and stitching. Scrunchies, decorations, accessories… the possibilities here are endless. It’s ideal for creative kids and teens who love craft, fashion, or design. Parents need to stay during the session (no drop and dash here), but three hours of calm, focused creativity, and no mess at home, is more than worth it.
