The Class is held one Saturday a month from 10am until 12.30, a slightly longer class, we will eventually teach an afternoon class as well from 1.30 until 4pm. Cost for the Morning is £30 Price includes some materials)
So many of you have asked for a Mending/ Sewing/ up cycling/ recycling /repurposing class for yourself and for teenagers, so Jackie and I have decided to open this class to teens 13/14+ as well as adults.
We will teach this class once a month to start with so you can learn the techniques, go home and practice and learn the next technique in the the following class!
We will teach a various techniques like visible mending, Japanese Sashiko & Boro stitching, using a speed loom, fixing your garments, free style machine, slow stitching, embroidery, hand embroidery, patching, crocheting to lengthen or embellish a garment, stitching cuffs and collars, up grading by adding ruffles and trims, Dyeing and painting garments.
There will be a sewing teacher available to teach beginners sewing to teens and their parents, but she has to be booked in advance!
We will start stocking a selection of mending products like looms/ Anchor wool/ DMC embroidery floss/ Sashiko pens/ threads & needles etc. for you to purchase from our web shop if you wish to do so!
