I was inspired by Jolanda and her absolutely fabulous Little School. She provided a relaxed and comfortable setting, great hospitality and a generous gift of materials that helped me to bring a well-loved garment back to life in an unexpected and delightful way. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, allowing the conversation among our group of four to range freely across all manner of topics. Jolanda’s enviable life experiences are on display in her fascinating house and spectacular garden. Even if you don’t feel confident – GO! You will be by the time you leave.

Absolutely love the weekly class but also the all day crochet workshop. My knitting skills were very rusty and Jolanda gave me the skills, confidence and nudge I needed to get going again. I had never crocheted before so coming to the all day class allowed time for basic skills to be developed. The all day class includes the most delicious lunch too. Jolanda is very artistic and talented and recently she helped me repair a top that has sentimental attachment. This required hand stitching which I’ve never done and it’s turned out beautifully. Classes are informal and fun, and I’ve met a lovely group of people.

I recently attended a “Collars and Cuffs” workshop at “The Little School of Needle Craft”. So many positive things to say about the day – Lovely working environment. Supportive. Welcoming. Generous sharing of knowledge, ideas, skills and materials. Fabulous lunch. Like minded people. And if all of that wasn’t recommendation enough, I went home with a transformed denim jacket that had been hanging in my wardrobe for over 30yrs. Up-cycling at it’s best. New skills learnt and a “new” jacket to wear. Thankyou Jolanda.

Wow! What a great experience we had with Jolanda at The Little School of Needlecraft. We had great fun whilst learning alot and producing some really great pieces of clothing. I would highly recommend taking a course with Jolanda, to relax and have fun whilst picking up some great needlecraft skills along the way!

We attended a course with Jolanda for a local relaxed hen do, we rejuvenated some old jackets and was thoroughly enjoyed by all, old and young! I will be visiting again soon, this place is a real find.

I have recently joined one of the sewing group classes and also had a wonderful time attending the denim jacket embroidery day.As this particular day progressed I became aware of the magic which Jolanda describes. It felt as if I was not only learning a new craft but a ‘re learning’and a re connection to skills which my mother and ancestors had used .Meeting and spending time with other women all with their own stories to tell ,yet still engrossed in creating a meaningful peice of work was a delight. You can lose yourself in the artistic and fascinating home and garden kindly shared by Jolanda in her uniquely welcoming manner, all people encompassed by her generous spirit. A delicious lunch was provided including freshly baked bread and cake from a local bakery.
